The Cultural Festival namely “Be Pakistani Buy Pakistani” concluded with a colourful ceremony that was marked with presence of famous showbiz and prominent personalities of the country. Ko-Ordination Group - KRG, a social welfare project of Kalia Group - KG, that has been engaged in spreading quality IT education and training all over the Pakistan organized this multicolored cultural festival from 3rd till 5th of June, 2008 at The Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi, that was aimed at empowering the underprivileged yet talented women of our country in order to craft their skills into productivity, so that they become a valuable tool in supporting their families and ultimately contribute towards bringing Pakistan on the path of economic progress and prosperity.

The Cultural Festival was inaugurated by Deputy Speaker, Sindh Assembly, Ms. Shela Raza who praised the event by calling it a revolutionary and inimitable effort of KRG, She further added that exhibition like this was truly a unique experience of her life and it would go a long way in providing the women of far flung areas of our richly talented country the exposure which they required, later Shela Raza visited each and every stall of the festival and met with people on the stalls in detail, She further stated that she has never seen such a blend of cultures in any other exhibition.

Women from all the 4 provinces of the country set up their stalls in this exhibition, facilitated by KRG, the stalls such as Mehndi, Bengals, Plain & Embroidery Ready made suits of according to the customs of all the pronvices and Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Mobile Accessories and Downloading, Traditional Ladies Khusa & Purses etc were established, each and every stall was carrying variety of things, apart from these special pavilions were made for Food Court & Fun Land which attracted the crowd most.

Dr. Mohan Lal, Minister for Minorities, Government of Sindh after his visit said that he is very impressed with the setup and the cause of KRG and such exhibitions should be held more frequently to eliminate the unemployment curse from our country.

Mr. Hanif S. Kalia, Chairman KG & KRG, on this occasion said that the scale of the response we got from the people was beyond our expectation and I want to thank all the people who visited the festival in all these 3 days and played a huge role in making this event highly successful.

General Secretary – KRG, Dr. Saira Bano addressing to private TV channels said that it was a challenging task for us to initiate the project of empowering women of Pakistan and to bring them on par with other wings of the society and we are very much satisfied that by the grace of Almighty Allah the efforts of all KRGians have reaped fruits in accomplishing our objectives under KRG mission of “Not only to support the needy but to empower them so that they themselves become able to support others” and KRG intends to carry on endeavors in this regard after the success of our this pilot project.

Visitors were entertained in all three days of the carnival as famous personalities from World of Entertainment such as Shakeel Siddiqui, Aftab Alam & World Renown Entertainers duo of Ali Hassan & Irfan Malik amused the crowd with their typical styles.

Apart from them various celebrated personalities from different walks of life visited the event calling it a pleasant experience of their life time, some of them were Syed Rizvi (Film Producer) Anwar Iqbal, Khalid Saleem Mota (TV Personalities) Sikandar S. Kalia, Munaf S. Kalia, Mr. Khurram H. Kalia (From Kalia Family) Jaffer Kudia, Dr. Aziz Tank, Abdul Majeed Abdani, Zohaib Tahir (Social Figures), Rizwan Siddiqui & Shahid Badami (TV Anchors) Qari Hamid Mehmood Qadri, Ms. Javeria Saleem (Naat Khuwans) Agha Kafeel Barik (Former Member Income Tax Appellate Tribunal) and Others.

During all 3 days of the extravaganza, a large number of print and electronic media personnel from numerous TV channels and Newspapers were present to cover the gala event.
